Map of Nepheros: Eleven Realms of Mankind
Far North
The Shadowlands - an icy plain where many daemons and vampires dwell. The Nepherim are cursed to live in the shadows after the Great Blaze due to Salantir’s Law.
The North
The Vandale - the wealthiest of all the lands. The Batterstern region is in the north point where the Temple of Torz is located near Mount Ashmore. Just West of Batterstern are the Castaways Caves and Lake Lazarou. There are many fortresses in the Vandale such as the Valiant City, Neive Town, Lyanthra, and Eldershelm. The Vandalish senators are the great enemies of the Lyornmar Empire, each seeking to dethrone the other as the sole ruler of the eleven realms of mankind.
The Westerlands
Galantis - home of the Old Goldenscape City. There are several ruined towers scattered across the realm such as The Bleeding Screech, Moat Raverock, the Hammered Hope, and Windelmere.
Krevka - the eternal winter. Vyers Point is located in the north, surrounded by the Viltzheim Woods. There are a handful of strongholds in Krevka like Kirstkicht City, Cravengate, and the Death Knell. The Slaver’s Mines are located near the torched lands between Lyar’s Bay and the Seleki Salt Flats. Much of Southern Krevka and Western Galantis were scorched beyond ruin during the Great Blaze a thousand years ago by Saint Salantir. The land is covered in thick, black smog and many of its descendants are deformed from the toxic fumes of the great White Flame blazed by Salantir’s blood dragon, Drakvas.
The Heartlands
Asura - the ancestral home of the Lyornmars. The Capital is the Shattered City where the Tower of Tears is held. Roads connect the Capital, following the long River Raim, to other establishments such as Baelrin’s Keep, Lone Hearth, and Tavasar. It is the centre point of civilisation and a bountiful kingdom ruled by the Heirs of Salantir for over a thousand years.
Aramus - known particularly for its red domes and inky seas. The Holy Province of Aramus is located in the middle of the realm, overlooking the River Red that leads to Cape Lyornmar. To the south is Castle Fyera. They are governed by a tight fist and zealots at every turn. Despite the opulence and magnificence at every turn, travellers beware of the Silenced Men and the ghostly Crimson Hoods.
Bahmaris - the birthplace of mankind. The Crimson Mountain is located in the North and quite a distance away from the Devil’s Souk. The Valley of the Damned stands before the Three Maidens. A savage, barren wasteland full of cutthroats and thieves. Venture in at your own cost and take a trip down the red desert and watch the spectacular Sand Stragglers in the Colosseums of Old.
Varsul - Most of Varsul is covered by the Forgotten Forest with a rocky terrain close to Dragonborne. The Shadow Mountain lies in the north near the homes of the common folk. A Dancer in the Dark lurks nearby, hold onto your offspring for changelings are everywhere. The Thousand-Eyed daemon is always watching.
The Easternshires
Shayenn - the lost empire. The Sorcerer’s Peak is located in the north with a large river called the Moon Tears cutting towards the east of the realm, near the Forked Fortress, and leading into Basilisk Bay. The Jaded Empire stands in the middle as one of the great trading points, connected to the Sunrise Kingdom. The Hun-Dread Hills is located in the West with the River Anaseem stretching out into Jun-Ra. Home to the great Vashquinn warriors. A broken empire lost to the opium trade and treachery, great enemies to their neighbours in the South.
Mayek - home of alchemy and sorcery. The Kirazad Shrines sit near the borders of the Mayek territory, just above the Malahari Desert. Kasamir City contains the Dome of Wonders, remaining as the largest infrastructure in Mayek, with roads leading to Port Adua. A stronghold called Masra is located in the East, near the Jazadi Jungles that cover Mount Mazran. Beyond that are a scatter of islands, some of which are named Vashquinn's Lair and Thousand Eyes.
The South
Azol - The Hastu region in the east contains the Kanza Desert. In the north is the Northern Bloodrites that follow the River of Beyond past the Devil’s Gate and the Neyara Kingdom. In the West is the Webu Wastelands, known for its torched and ruined lands, and where Dros Demaathus is located. The Bronze Coast lies in the very south.
Far South
The Glasslands - frozen, uninhabitable lands once owned by the Lyornmar Empire.
The Isles of Mist - the territory of the Mistress of Mist, the siren captain of the Dreadship who delivers the souls of those lost at sea to the Unholy Gate, the portal to the Great Beyond.
